In recent days, we had the extraordinary honor of participating in one of the most important events of the year dedicated to sustainable business – the annual United Nations Day Gala, organized by the UN Global Compact Network Poland.
This event took place in the historic interiors of the Konstanty Zamoyski Palace in Warsaw.
The United Nations Day Gala is a meeting dedicated to the Members of the UN Global Compact and Partners of the UN Global Compact Network Poland programs. The central point of the event was to honor the World United Nations Day and promote the 10 Principles of the Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals. The aim of this initiative is to inspire and mobilize Polish society, governmental entities, businesses, and third-sector organizations to act towards sustainable development and peace worldwide.
During the ceremony, the premiere of the "Yearbook 2023" took place, a publication presenting the best practices in sustainable business and the activities undertaken by UN GCNP, their Partners, and Members over the last year. This is an important source of knowledge for all those interested in current trends and solutions in the field of sustainable business.
An incredibly important moment for us was when we learned that Yawal would be honored for effective collaboration in programs implemented by the UN Global Compact Network Poland. The award on behalf of the entire Yawal team was received by Błażej Dobrowolski. This is a confirmation of our commitment to sustainable development and evidences that we are heading in the right direction.
