Yawal S.A. puts its customers at the centre of its attention. Working together with them, it improves existing products and creates completely new systems to meet emerging needs. An example of such a solution is the TM 82W HI hybrid system for windows glazed from the outside, currently the only one on the market. It combines the advantages of a window and facade system. Yawal was inspired to create it by the company Zimny Sp. z o.o.
In short, we can say that the TM 82W HI system is a so-called "window façade" with very good thermal parameters (Uw from 0.5 W/m2K). What does this mean? The frame of the construction is made to resemble a window, which guarantees the manufacturers easy installation both inside and outside the façade. Importantly, the considerable weight of the glass, up to 500 kilograms, is located in the axis of the profile, providing stable support. There is no possibility of the so-called "turning bolt". At the same time, when designing the system, Yawal used one of the greatest advantages of facade systems, namely, the possibility of glazing the structure from the outside. Thanks to this, the assembly is much faster and there is no need to bring heavy glazing inside the building. The glass installed in this way is blocked with pressure strips and decorative profiles imitating the elegance of façade constructions. The TM 82W HI system is supplemented by the possibility to install a sequence of glazing (shop windows) without any visible aluminium elements from the outside.

Paweł Jędrzejewski, Sales Office Manager at Zimny Sp. z o.o., talks about cooperation with Yawal S.A. during the creation of this system.
Yawal: What was your company's need that led you to partner with Yawal to create a new system?
Paweł Jędrzejewski: As in the case of the genesis of most systems, at the beginning there is a unique architectural design, for which a new solution needs to be created. Then, if it works, it is transformed into a comprehensive system. This was the case this time too. Our company had to build an all-glass construction for a showroom with a display window of about 35 metres in length. The design did not provide for any vertical mullions. The only structural reinforcements for the entire building were steel pillars, which made it impossible to glaze the structure from the inside. The design provided for the use of very large sheets of glass, over 3 m wide and weighing nearly 500 kg, which made it impossible to use a facade system for this purpose. So, we needed a solution based on a window frame, so that the glazing had something to rest on. In addition, in order to facilitate installation, we looked for the possibility of installing the glazing from the outside because, as I mentioned earlier, the structural columns of the building made it impossible to carry out the glazing process from the inside. The project also envisaged the necessity of joining the glass panes with silicone on a "glass-to-glazing" basis in order to achieve the effect of a structural façade wall from the outside. We approached Yawal's R&D department with this requirement.
Y: How did this collaboration work?
P.J.: Together with Yawal's R&D staff we analysed all the project requirements and possible solutions. We concluded that the best method for installing large glass panes without vertical support would be to create a window system that could be glazed from the outside. Yawal then created a system design in Autocad that met all of our requirements, with particular emphasis on the installation of a 60mm thick glazing package. In subsequent stages, Yawal developed the system to include the possibility of creating a 90-degree connection and the system installation of windows and doors, also in panels.
Y: Do you use this solution often?
P.J.: I can't hide the fact that I feel a bit like the "godfather" of this system. Our company uses this solution very often. Its unquestionable advantage, apart from easy assembly, glazing from the outside and the possibility of using very heavy glass packages, is also the freedom of combining it with other window and door systems from Yawal's offer, e.g. TM 102HI or TM 77HI, which we have tested in practice many times. Additionally, we have perfected the assembly of facade blinds as an optional solution for this system. We have also created, based on this system, e.g. the TM 102HI or the TM 77HI. This is something we have tested in practice many times. In addition, we have developed the installation of façade blinds as an optional solution for this system. For example, we have built a tall structure on the basis of this system which runs almost two storeys through the building and whose frames are hidden in the walls. For us as a manufacturer, the cost saving potential of this system is also very important due to its uncomplicated construction compared to facade systems. I would like to emphasize that all the time, together with R&D department, we are looking for new possibilities of development of this system and we encourage other companies to start cooperation with YAWAL on the same principles as our cooperation.
